Hair Donation at Capelli Lounge | Locks of Love & St. Baldrick’s

At Capelli Lounge Hair Salon, we’re proud to support clients who want to make a difference through hair donation. Many guests ask how the process works, and we’re always happy to guide you. Donating your hair is a beautiful way to turn your haircut into something meaningful — and we partner with two incredible organizations:

Locks of Love

Locks of Love creates custom prosthetic hairpieces for children experiencing long-term medical hair loss. To make sure your donation qualifies, here are the key guidelines:

• Hair must be at least 10 inches long, measured tip to tip.

• Colored or permed hair is accepted, as long as it has not been bleached.

• Hair must be secured in a ponytail or braid before cutting; loose hair or swept floor hair can’t be used.

• Hair must be clean, dry, and placed in a sealed plastic bag inside a padded envelope for mailing.

• Acknowledgments can take up to 90 days to arrive.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation

St. Baldrick’s is one of the leading organizations funding childhood cancer research. Participants shave their heads to raise money and awareness, and anyone can join or donate.

Laurie and Veronica from Capelli Lounge have participated in St. Baldrick’s events in the past — helping with the head-shaving and supporting this powerful cause.
